Philippine Independece Day

 Philippine Declaration of Independence

     Today is Independence Day of my beloved Country Philippines. The real spirit of this occassion is disappearing. For Filipinos its just an ordinary day because there are more important things to prioritize than celebrating. Since most of Filipino men are struggling to survive to have a meal and support their family. For some National Holiday mean double pay...I feel sorry for that ignorant people that they only think that june 12 is money.     I hope we pay a little respect to our heroes that give us the freedom and thanks them. Its not just about money. Its about what we have for today.

    Look back from our history,  Its not just about double pay for June 12, It about the history where General  Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the sovereignty and independence of the Philippine Islands from the colonial rule of Spain.

      The image is one of the Philippine peso bill which  shows an image of Filipinos rejoicing the independece day. Sad to say that this 5 peso paper bill is not in circulation anymore. Mostly the one who have this bill is a collector.

Exotic Chicken

        Pinoys are known for their love for cooking and eating. Filipino dishes are easy to cook, but sometimes use a lot of different ingredients. With a little budget in hand and resourcefulness, Pinoy can have a delicious meal or an appetizer. Others will find it disgusting and for some of the list here will fall for the category of  exotic food. The throway part for others, the delicacy of the other one. So theres no room for waste.

       

So here is the list of Chicken Part

Chicken Spleen Arrozcaldo

      The guya rice porridge main ingredients is a sautéed ovary duct of a chicken. It is similar to arroz caldo Another variant of this is the egg caldo. Instead of using ovary duct or chicken meat, an egg is added on the
rice porridge.

Adidas (Chicken Feet)

       They called it adidas because of brand name of shoes adidas. Either you cook it by grilled or deep fried, You will enjoy and get challenged to eat adidas because of the small bones are hard to chew, it is diffucult to eat.  Most of the edible meat on the addidas consists of  skin and tendons that gives this feeling that you are chewing a gum.

Helmet can be cooked my grilled. deep fried or adobo (sauteed with garlic & onion in vinegar and soy sauce). The distinctive taste of the chicken skin and the brain mkes its unique.

Isaw (chicken small intestine)

Can be grilled or deep fried. the bitter taste of Isaw is most likely feces. (check photos below).

Proben(chicken proven)

It's the proventriculus  of a chicken, dipped in flour with seasoning, and  deep-fried. Skewered on bamboo sticks to be dipped in the vinegar just before it is eaten or not, since the breedings give a delicious taste.

Betamax (chicken blood)

A chicken blood that has been formed in an open container. They called it betamax because of the shape. It is often grilled and dip in vinegar w/ soysauce.

Yep! a naked 1 day old chicks. Deep fried.

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park

       When it comes to finding a greatest art nothing beats Mother Nature. One of the best example is the Puerto Princesa Underground River.  Also known as St. Paul Subterranean River. Believed to be the longest underground river in the world, located 50 kilometer north from the city of Puerto Princesa.

 Every tourist will get mesmerized by the beauty of Underground river. 

       The  calm water of the river give leeway for a wonderful boat tripdown to the underground river. Inside you will see a lot of stalagmites and stalactites formation. They are all breath taking resembling from mushroom, eggplant, engkanto (enchanted creature) , carved faces, or the resemblance of religious-like images.

Underground River is one of the UNESCO world heritage.

 Aside from the famous underground river , The Puerto Princesa Subterranean Underground River National park is also famous from wildlife preservation. Experience monkey trail  where you can see a bunch of clever monkey, the endangered Palawan mousedeer, Philippine Cockatoo, Parrots  and famous peacock pheasants.

Spider Battle

     Spider fighting is a very popular brutal sport among  Filipino. The game begins by placing two spiders at opposite ends of a thin stick called a walis ting-ting (a broom made from the midribs of coconut leaves). The spiders are then guided  to one another by the referree until they wrestle. The rules are the spider must survive, battle of the fittest, avoid being killed and wrap by web of the opposite spider,  Also the  one who have most drop off the stick loses, it depend on the rules of aggreement of the owner of spiders on how many drops before it declares game is over. Most of the time the rules is simple as this "Last man standing"... uhmmm "Last spider standing!"

    Now this game is not only popular among  filipino children but also for adult . Not only for fun but for betting.  There's a tournament held for a spider fighting , just like cock fighting. Top fighters can fetch from US$5 or higher. 

    Most spider hunter hunts at night for them to locate easily the spider since all they need to do is use a flashlight and when they hit spiders web it will shine and check if there one brave spider. Some myth of hunter A spider that lives in Guava tree, jackfruit tree, accacia tree and the one who lives in the electric wire are the best.

But for me Nothing beats this two spider!!!

Known in Music industry as Bruno Mars, He is a Hawaiian American singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist signed to Atlantic Records. He is most well known for singing and co-writing the hooks for the #1 hit Nothin’ On You by B.o.B, and Billionaire by Travie McCoy; he also co-wrote the international hit Right Round by Flo Rida. After the success of these songs Mars released his debut EP, It’s Better If You Don’t Understand, in May 2010. He has plans to release his debut album, Lady Killer, sometime later this year.

    Today I gather a list of most hated politician. I gathered all the most controversial, the politician who rock our world, the one who put Philippines in international limelight in a shameful way.

Tessie Aquino Oreta

     Filipino will never forget the former senator and being tagged as a "Dancing Queen" after the nation saw  her famous victory dance in the senate session hall in 2000 after the majority in the Senate voted to block the opening of the second envelope allegedly containing evidence against Joseph Ejercito Estrada. When she asked why did you dance like a dancing queen? She didn't answer but ask for forgiveness. Tessie Aquino-Oreta offended Filipino people and never get the chance to be a senator again.  From showing her talent of being a good dancer, she's a disgraced to Aquino clan.

Luis "Chavit" Singson

     Former Ilocos Governor made it to number nine  because He is the most hated in every women's group from his recent scandal of  allegedly beating his partner Rachel Tiongco. Tagged as the godfather of Gambling. Accused in numerous killing. Even he denied the allegation of being a mastermind behind the killing of Ilocos Sur Provincial auditor Agustin Chan for investigating the wealth of Chavit, No one believed him and most people distrust him even he is the star witness in Joseph Estrada case.

Antonio Sanchez

     Former Caluan, Laguna Mayor Antonio Sanchez is the perfect example of Devil in disguise, His public image was a devout catholic, active in church and had a lot of collection of Blessed Virgin Mary but his shocking persona been revealed as a monster. A well known mafia in his town, A man behind kidnapping and killing Aileen Sarmenta and Allan Gomez.

Gringo Honasan

     Former Senator Gringo Honasan , a long time coup plotter, He led a series of failed coup against the administration of Cory Aquino and being accused as the ring leader of July 27,2003 oakwood mutiny. The people of the Philippines get tired of it, because it is an obvious lost-lost situation that only affect the economics. As of this now he is still hiding....

Panfilo "Ping" Lacson

     A former director of Philippine National Police. A Senator that been links to various murder cases,  the killings of political publicist Salvador Dacer, Emmanuel Corbito, a man accused of being behind the killing of  eleven members of a  Kuratong Baleleng, been accused of killings of many crime suspects. A real model politician, a lot of pending case for him. he need a lots of explaining to do. Filipino people needs to know the truth, no matter what he say his departure from the country proves somewhat guilty of accusation and treated as fugitive.

Joseph Ejercito Estrada

      The first President who went to impeachment trial, dubbed as a jueteng lord, father of all gambling lord. His alliance tried to stop the 2nd envelope of evidence that leads the masses to go out and join in People Power II. Erap has been dubbed as a Man without honor, his famous line “Walang kumpa-kumpare. Walang kai-kaibigan....” and a statement in national tv declaring  that he will not run for president, at first he really deny it that he didn't say that and it was awkward moment for him when when Ted failon show "Failon Ngayon"  showed the entire video... He will do everything just to regain his power and he succeeded finding a loophole in Philippine Law, and he was able to run for President again.  Philippines will be laughing-stock of other country if he win the presidency.

Imelda Marcos

     Imelda Marcos is synonymous with having a huge shoe collection, living in extravagant life. She is famous and most hated first lady in the Philippines and even use her name in urban dictionary, "imeldific" meaning extravagant, frivolous and excessive. The widow of  Fernando Marcos amassed great wealth and was charged dozens of times for illegally earning it.

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo

With a negative fifty three(-53) public satisfactory, you can never go wrong that President Gloria Arroyo will be on our list.  From her famous Hello Garci Scandal, to ZTE scandal,  her unexplainable wealth, to her breast implant scandal... Do I need to say GMA  is power hungry? From the January 2001 Edsa II to her famous controversial victory of May,2004 election and now she is running for Congress in Pampanga.

Andal Ampatuan Sr.

     If you ask average filipino to give their most hated politician, Ampatuan will definitely land on the list. Thanks to Andal Ampatuan and his clan! Once again, we made it to international scene, Philippines is 2nd Most dangerous place in the world for media men. He is the famous for the Maguindanao Massacre or also know as The Ampatuan Massacre. The most heinous crime ever... 57 killed.. Check wikipedia for more info of the list of all the victims.

Ferdinand Marcos

     Do I need to say more? It will take me days or even month if I'm going to type all his scandal.  I'll just make it short, His name is associated in Martial law. Number 1 in corruption and number 1 in human right violations. Marcos Cheated the 1986  snap election with that, it result for the people to get furious and out to fight, the result the first ever peaceful PEOPLE POWER in the Philippines!
